

A brief overview of her artistic career


Lourdes Aramburu
Argentinian guitarist and composer. Graduated as Superior Music Professor – Specialized in Guitar from the College of Music of the Province of Salta “José Lo Giudice”. She has tackled diverse musical genres, standing out in the field of rock and academic music (classical and contemporary); performing as a soloist and session musician on stages in Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán, Chaco, Buenos Aires, Spain and Greece. She stands out as the first professional female guitarist in the field of rock/heavy metal in the north of Argentina. She has taken courses on instrumental improvement with maestros Carle Costas (Uruguay), Víctor Villadangos (Buenos Aires) and Juan Pablo Ordoñez (Neuquén) and on composition with maestro Sebastián Zambrana (Buenos Aires). In Valencia, Spain she attended a master class in composition and instrumentation with the Grammy-awarded composer Claudia Montero. She participated as a soloist in the 2009 Guitar Fest (Capital Federal) with Carina Alfie (Buenos Aires), Xavier Moyano (Tucumán), So Myung Jung (Korea) and Leguiz Tres Palacios (Colombia), among others. She published her first independent production as performer and composer, titled "Sempiterna" for soloist guitar. Styles such as classical music and contemporary language cross over in her work. She was part of the instrumental ensemble "Crisálida", with works of her own composition, along with percussionist and drummer Ana Poggioli. She was summoned for the multidisciplinary show "Muses, women who inspire" within the framework of the " Abril Cultural Salteño ", a cycle declared of cultural interest by the Chamber of Senators of the Province of Salta. She also musicalized and took part in "Tango Femme", a dance and music show declared of cultural interest by the Ministry of Human Rights of the Province of Salta. She organized and participated in the guitarists meeting "Six Strings Rock 2014" with Emilio Jorge (Gauchos de Acero), Xavier Moyano and Emilio Lombardo, among others. She was summoned as a feminine representative of Salta’s rock together with several other artists, to appear in the publicity spot "Get the label off, live without prejudice" broadcasted by Channel 11 Salta, Telefe group. She performed as an electric guitar session musician in the show "Flamencos y Rumbas" with Ivana Rojas and Querubín Ayarde. She has recently performed with guitarist and composer Matías Cardozo, in the concert "Sounds of the Soul" presenting compositions of her authorship for bouzouki, thus making an incursion in ethnic music. Soon she will be playing alongside rock band "Asspera".
